Forgotten Passwords |
First, be sure to write down your password and user name and you won't get into a pickle such as this! When you finish this of getting back on the workspace be sure to heed the warning: write down your user name and password, remembering that they are case sensitive, and store them in a very safe place!!
If you cannot get your username and/or password to work one of three things might be going on:
- You have the right user name and password but you are using the wrong case. Thus Murphy is not the same as murphy to our server (which is case sensitive) nor is the password GOFER the same as gofer. If this is the case try using different case structures and see if this is the problem
- You have forgotten your user name and/or password. Don't panic! They system will send you an e-mail (if you ask it by following the instructions below) and allow you to change your password. It will also tell you your user name. Be sure to write down your user name and your new password once you successfully re-register!!
Go to the change password page and enter your Net-ID address (it will look something like rab41531@creighton.edu) in the box provided. If you are not sure of your Net ID look it up using AMI. The server will then detect you are already registered and send you an email with an URL you can use to get a reminder of your user name and/or give yourself a new password. Follow the directions on the e-mail carefully and be sure to copy (or cut and paste) the URL exactly as sent or the process will not work.
